The Adult Arcade

With our lives so busy these days

It's nice to have some getaways,

A place where the impossible dream can be made

After some hard earned money has been paid

And time spent in the Adult Arcade,

When you enter the arcade where to begin

With a big wheel just waiting

for someone to give it a spin,

Or a little white ball

That will make you rich

if it takes the right fall,

Possibly a simplistic card game

If an Ace and Face show up blackjack

you can claim,

Could it be a large cushioned table and dice

Just sitting in the pit waiting to entice,

In the Adult Arcade some new friends can be made

After you hit the Royal Flush in Video Poker

and your two thousand dollars is paid,

There are no tickets to redeem for a prize

And if you lose all you own that isn't very wise,

The Adult Arcade can be a lot of fun

Just make sure you know when your done.

Many Stages

The learning process develops as we grow

There are many things we need to know,

At first we learn our A,B,C's

And how to print our name with ease,

Next we learn two and two is four

And forms of math we didn't know before,

The transition to middle school is the next

thing we must do,

And if you don't fit in well the jokes on you,

Harder classes must now be finished

Like Science, Spelling, and English,

The teachers put the responsibility on you

Since in High School no one caters to you,

In High School it up to you to learn each day

For the faculty is just there to get there pay,

After twelve years the parents get the reward

The sight of throwing up the mortar board,

Now the hardest stage has come about

The place that decides your career's route,

Classes and studies occupy most of your day

And there certainly isn't anytime for play,

You may go for six years or just two

But still a job won't come to you,

You'll send out more than one resume'

And stay close to the phone everyday,

So when opportunity knocks get the door

And hope you are who it's for,

You may dislike your chosen career

And have to switch gears,

Since you have worked so hard for so long

Make sure the choice wasn't wrong.

A Friend You Never Knew

A friend you never knew can sometimes be found

And it will take you by surprise

As you didn't know the friend was around,

They may be very caring

With lots of knowledge for sharing,

They might do you a great service

Or reassure you when you are nervous,

It will most likely be a blessing in disguise

Which at first you wont realize,

But after a good deed or two

You'll understand why they found you,

And the surprise friend is the best to find

For they don't have to take theatre to be kind,

The kindness just comes out naturally

And if it doesn't your friend the shouldn't be,

That's not the only characteristic you should seek

For would they offer a helping hand if you were weak,

Would they go out of there way for just you

Or place you with less important thinks to do,

And if one can make all the above true

You honestly found a friend you never knew.
